Ok, the title is a bit of an exageration, but, if you read yesterdays post you will already know that I seem to have lost a lot of visitors from the Search Engines, after writing that post I decided to make it worse. I've now moved my blog from the blogspot.com domain to a custom domain name, which probably pretty much puts me back to square one in terms of Pagerank and Search Engine Rankings. I really don't know what I was thinking I'm now going to have to try and re-establish back links, resubmit the new domain to directories, I'm going to have to redo all the work I did 18 months ago. In the long run though I'm hoping all the changes I've made to the blog will eventually pay off.
Can I please ask anybody who reads this that has an existing link to http://westen30.blogspot.com on their blog please change it to the new address http://www.martinsquest2makemoneyonline.com, would be very grateful.

I went through the same thing when I got my own domain. That was four months ago and I STILL get more blogspot traffic! I wish I had better advice for you, just make sure you link to your new site from your blogspot site REPEATEDLY. Best of luck,
Natalie

Hi Natalie, good name, its what we've called our daughter.
The only good thing here is that its this blog is still hosted on blogger so all links to the old domain will automatically be forwarded to the new domain so I shouldn't lose out through links its just my search engine rankings that I'm worried about.
Cheers

Hi Martin,
Have amended your link on MMMM and also on my Links Page.
Good luck!
Mike.
That's great, thanks Mike.
1 link down another 300 to go.
Cheers

Done!
Good luck with the new domain. I switched over in November. It's not easy but it's been worth it.

Doesn't re-directing your old URL to the new one not do all that work for you?
Well I don't really know much about all the blogging technicalities, just learning as I go, so maybe I don't know what I am talking about!
Hi Laura, thanks, hopefully my new domain will be indexed by google soon, I'm glad it worked out for you in the end.
Internet Junkie, the re-direct does help a bit those people with links to my old domain will still work but they don't help with search engine indexing, my site will need to be indexed again and I now have less backlinks to the new domain.
Thank you both for visiting my blog.
Martin
